Boccia Referee Course
February 9 - February 10
SportAbility is hosting a Boccia Referee course on February 9th and 10th, 2019. This course will be facilitated through Boccia Canada. Registrants will learn about the game of Boccia, the rules and regulations of the game, and will have the opportunity to officiate BC Boccia competitions. Registration deadline is January 25th, 2019.
Requirements: Registrants must attend Part 1 of the course taking place February 9th, and 10th in Vancouver. Following Part 1 of the course, registrants must attend Part 2 of the course (practical assessment), The Western Challenge Tournament, taking place April 5th – 7th in the Lower Mainland. Registrants will be provided the opportunity to practice their knowledge and skills from Part 1 of the course leading up to Part 2 of the course by flexible assignments to local clubs. After successful completion of Part 2, registrants will have a Provincial Boccia Referee certification.
To attend this course, registrants must be at least 16yrs of age. Registrants will also be required to complete a SportAbility membership as a Supporter member (no cost).
