Mr. Steve Piskorik (December 27, 1932 – October 8, 2013)

A wonderful husband, dad, uncle, friend, and neighbour passed surrounded by his loving wife, best friend. and soul mate, Bev, and his loving family. Born near Powell River, BC, Steve grew up in New Westminster and then resided for 55 years in Sunshine Hills, Delta. He was predeceased by his brother, Mike and Miss Emma, and survived by his wife Bev, son Randi, daughters Teri (Steve) and Tami (Fran), brother John (Marie-Helene), sister-in-laws Gloria (Jim) and Eleanor, nephews, nieces and step-grandchildren, his family in Slovakia, and many friends. He loved us, his friends and family. Steve enjoyed music and loved to travel and cruise. He will be remembered for being a founding member of The Centre for Child Development, Director of the Games for the Disabled, and Sportability. He retired from BC Hydro after 35 years, and was previously the owner of Venus Pizza & Sunnyside. Thank you to Dr. Fransen and the nurses at Surrey Memorial Hospital, especially the ICU Team. A memorial donation may be made in memory of Steve to The Centre for Child Development or charity of your choice. Services will be held at 2 pm on November 16, 2013 at Valley View Funeral Home 14660 – 72nd Ave, Surrey. He is already missed.
