The BC Eagles Sledge Hockey Team won Gold at the Western Canadian Championships on March 1st- 4th, 2012 in Calgary, Alberta.  The BC Eagles battled the  Edmonton Impact, who picked up a few players from Manitoba on the National Development Team.  On the first game of the tournament, the BC Eagles won 4-3  with James Gemmell as the main player of the game.  BC lost the 2nd game 3-1 with Joe Skillen as the player of the game, but the 3rd and final game, BC won 2-1 with Joe Skillen as the winning the player of the game. The players played outstandingly against a very tough and competitive team, congratulations! The BC Eagles focused on fundamentals in all the practices and it has once again, paid off.

SportAbility would also like to wish James and Scott good luck as they are off to Norway with Canadian National Team for the World Championships. Thank you to the coaches for a outstanding season!
